The Earth is found at a distance of 149,600,000km from the Sun. It rotates about its own axis (rotational period of 23ʰ 56ᵐ 4.0910ˢ) and revolves around the Sun in an elliptical orbit (orbital period of 1 year).

At present, the Earth’s axis is tilted at an angle of 23.44°. This tilt varies between 22.1° and 24.5° in a 41,000 year cycle. Hence, the Earth’s tilt can be deemed as a constant.
